Discarded pieces that are old, rotting, lost or forgotten are usually the starting point for my inspiration. When I look at these ordinary objects at a glance, I imagine something completely different than what is actually represented. From images re-interpreted, art emerges.

With this in mind I generally am not always certain of my end results. But this is cool because it’s all about the voyage, the gathering of materials, placing of objects, the reflection.

The greatest part of the experience is when I’m just outside, walking, not even thinking about art. I look down and there is this piece of junk that probably has been kicked out of the way a thousand times, but me, I see this inherent beauty, and I can’t wait to get back home with it.
